Character Analysis : Auberon Alister Branwen

Auberon's Beastly/ godly(incomplete) form

Character Analysis:

Auberon Alister Branwen

Story sample:

Eventually his body gave as he fell onto his knees, glasses falling on the floor. He could fight it no more. Nora kept hugging him while his shape violently shifted. Bones cracking in a symphony of noises that would disturb any child. The horrid sound of wings bursting out of his back was something akin to shrill, abhorrent sound. Similar to the sound of tearing raw silk ... or flesh.

Good thing the room was sound proof. His cries of pain became more animalistic, grotesque and anamorphic. He did not hug back for fear his own strength would crush her. Nora kept holding him until his deformed body stopped pulsing. Minutes passed before big elongated tar black hands wrapped around her as he returned the hug. Inky black tears rolled down his porcelain face which made it look like white & black marble.

Age: 130+                                                                                 Race: God/ mythical being fusion

Basic character analysis:
By my friend Arrwyn

Hero, monster.  The victim of a vicious demi-goddess sociopath. He has a venom which can actually heal and if he drinks Holy Water, though it hurts him, he can become a raging tornado of deep blue fire that only destroys what is corrupt. Pandora fused his essence to the Irish god, Crom Crúach, a fertility god.  Auberon can’t hold his human form easily for almost a week before and after the three nights of the full moon.  He can go to shadow voluntarily at any time, but the animal form he can’t stop during the full moon.

haaaha...ha Auberon Branwen, boy what a kettle of fish he is... Apart from my brief basic analysis done by my friend , second ear and editor Arrwyn Cliona Odahlt which is about as clear and brings the point across about him. What inspired my story (in the first place) was a mix of Crimson peak fandom , acute fascination to ALL  things monstrous, Macabre , Misunderstood ,  Marvel and my deep DEEP origin.

You are probably thinking .... "But Moira, you live in basically a family of the 5 most ordinary HUMAN family of all time. Your family is a basic honest middle class people."

Answer to Question: All of that is true ,but let me ask you a question?

Do you believe , in reincarnation?

Bear with me as this is linked to our character , our buddy Auberon . The truth of the matter , is that  my father in a previous life time was none other than  Mannan Mac Lir (he prefers the name  "Oberon " as of late)
The name Auberon , though "Crowe " at the start  but it had to be changed  because of another graphic novel , long since owned it WAY before me. Basically Copyright/Legal reasons. I was drawn to that Name as one , it meant noble and two  i was drawn to it.

BOOM !!! BOMBSHELL  ( i know)

You probably think i have lost my marbles, but please believe me it is true ,  Arrwyn being also a  communicator to the Daoine Sídhe though American she  has Scottish decent confirmed it along with i can naturally communicate to them too through telepathy.

Ill continue on a later date

Cro Crú Chronicles: Character profile: Nora Hunter/Branwen

Character analysis:

Nora Hunter/Branwen

What inspired me to make her? hmm...?

Good question! You would all like to know correct?

Well...

Question no more let the Author (aka moi) tell you.
Now let me ask you a question that might sound slightly aberrant if not absolutely ludicrous. Do keep in mind I have much to tell?

Do you believe in fairies/gentry/Na duinne Sídhe ...?

No?  That is ... understandable in the very least and the question burning yours , if not all is:

What does this have to do with Nora?

well it has everything to do this which i will not disclose because **SPOILERS**
LET the questions be the seeds that will spark you interest in the book... heehee!

Well to be fair i should give you a give away hint.

It is this, it has something to do with the author and her life, in regards to spirits.

Here is a brief character profile of Nora created by my editor and good friend (Co-Author)

Arrwyn Cliona Odalht

Nora Hunter – heroine, 11 at story start.  She was taken from her natural parents for abuse and neglect and placed in a foster home.  Her parents are druggies, manufacturers, and involved in a major criminal syndicate in Cork Ireland run by the Deputy Commissioner of Police

Book 1 released

Cro crú chronicles trilogy 1 - OUT NOW IN AMAZON

Sample

Plucking some courage, she came closer to the form as it continued to pulse and groan. The change seemed to reach its peak as the creature let out an unearthly, bone chilling roar, which shook the whole building. Stepping back and heart pounding Nora was shaking in fear. Looking for a weapon she saw a bit of sharp glass. She picked it up. The distorted form got up slowly getting taller by the minute, moaning as its form continued to stretch as if stiff. The room itself was big but this thing almost reached the top. That was when she got to see the back of the creatures head. Horns curling around its head, snowy white hair slicked back. He looked like a real demon. Seeing her chance she lunged at the unknown creature with all her little might only to be caught by its inky black skeletal palm who took the blow like it didn’t affect him whatsoever.“Wha-…How?!” Was all she managed to cry before she fell on her ass backing away with great haste to avoid the towering figure. Anxiety reaching its peak. She huddled into a small ball shaking hysterically with the odd whimper waiting for the inevitable doom.
If you like what you read than this book might be for you , Cro crú Chronicles is the hidden gem of our time, if not possibly more in this day and age.
Who am i to say this, hmm?
I am most glad you asked. I am the one who wrote this book, the mastermind behind it. My name is Moira Dineen aka Banphrionsa Na Sídhe (Gentry princess).
Is it cynical to promote ones own book in this blog? I think not!
Who else will do it if no one will? Whether you find it vain ,or not is a matter of ones opinion, which is important to say the least ,but in my opinion do we always have to be right to win the fight. Many times kindness is the answer to many if not all the world's problems.
To agree to disagree .

This story is set in the beautiful County of Cork in Ireland also known as "the Rebel County" of Ireland. Many people in Cork city say that, they are the "real Capital of Ireland". Whether you see it as that , or not is up to you of course , we all have that choice , well... that is what all of us were brought up to believe.

This story is no fairy tale, by nature it is a DARK , facing grim topics that still exist unfortunately to this day.
Such as:

  • Child abuse
  • possible assaults in many areas
  • Drug dealing & abuse
  • Barbarity of the Roman Catholic Church
  •  Homophobia Past & present to this day, etc

If you are highly unnerved by this, do not worry as there is beauty in even the darkest of themes. Like everything this story has a VERY supernatural twist , mainly tied to the folklore that has been enshrined in the Irish psyche.
This story like everything has so much potential to branch into other myths around the world as well.

I will talk about the characters and other topic in a later date.
